Our Friends

We consider all of our friends part of our extended family. We rely on them as part of our support system because our family is spread across the United States.  We are close with our family and try to get everyone together in one place at least once a year.
Last year, our family got to go on a Carnival cruise where we enjoyed nights in the hot tub, fancy dinners, and just relaxing together.
When our friends get together there is always lots of food, fun, laughter and NOISE!! Everyone gets really loud and the group just gets louder and louder to be heard over the rest of the noise.
If they are not hosting, Jenna never shows up empty handed. She'll bring wine and cheese, fruit and veggies, or desserts. The King rule is to NEVER SHOW UP EMPTY HANDED and to never take anything too seriously!

Jenna has made many friends through her work in the adoption field and met up with women who have placed their children for adoption in Chicago for an adoption walk and then road tripped back home and stopped in Minneapolis to visit with a friend. In 2014 Jenna went on a cruise with birth mothers, adoptive mothers and hopeful adoptive mothers and was grateful to be able to hear different perspectives and stories.
Jenna and David are very active supporters of adoption and count themselves blessed to be able to meet the most amazing, supportive women that they have bonded with through their work in the adoption field.

A couple that I married. That's right! I'm an ordained minister for the Universal Church of Modesto California. A girl that was introduced to us by a mutual acquaintance decided on a FRIDAY that she wanted to get married on SATURDAY. Since I love planning weddings and parties, I did whatever I could to help. This included becoming ordained!
