How we see our life with children

These are some of the things we look forward to doing with our children:
  • Trips to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard, and farm
  • Season passes to the Zoo, Lauritzen Garden, Children's Museum and Children's theater
  • Fostering a love of reading. (We already have a HUGE book collection)
  • Playing in the snow and warming up in front of our fireplace with a cup of cocoa
  • Private school education
  • Gardening
  • Supporting our children's interests
  • Attending sporting events with our family
  • Family vacations to Disney, Europe, Mexico, Grand Canyon, Atlantic and Pacific ocean
  • Snuggle time on the couch on a rainy day
  • Huge holiday dinners
  • Volunteer time at local charities and church
  • Taking road trips and learning about our nation
  • Retelling the story of how they became our child and how much their birth parents care for them.

Our Family Traditions:
  • Sledding in the snow
  • Dinner together almost every night
  • Large Sunday dinners with friends & family
  • Opening one gift of Christmas Eve (matching pajamas)
  • Making large amounts of stuffing on Thanksgiving
  • Making dinners once a month for the families of sick children at the Rainbow House
  • Saturday morning brunch with Dad
  • Dinner at any restaurant you choose on your birthday
  • Exchanging gifts on Three Kings Day (We want to focus less on gifts during Christmas and more on the giving spirit. We believe that our family should give back to those less fortunate which is why we do a lot of charity work)
  • Easter egg hunts for kids and adults at Easter
  • Random "Wake Up" gifts (A balloon tied to a small gift left on your bedside table throughout the year)
  • Vacations as a family
  • Celebrating the day we finalized our adoption with a party every year.
  • Of COURSE we can't celebrate Christmas without the Elf on the Shelf! Krimpet Karnackle Chichicadik has visited our house for 3 years now! We take turns hiding him and having him leave little gifts and surprises throughout the season for each other.
David is a bit of an adventurous eater! J/K... this was at Zombie Burger in Des Moines, IA.

Krimpet is chillaxin' in the freezer with a Maple Syrup Smoothie just waiting for a little one to share magic with.
Jenna and Krimpet meet for the first time!

David & Jenna love to play tourist when they travel and can not wait to have a little one to share their wanderlust with. This was in Illinois and is the sister city to Piza, Italy!

We are hoping that you will be comfortable enough with us to join our lives and count yourself as part of our family.
